Our Story
Hello from Alexis' friends! Months before our church's sermons on caring for vulnerable children and orphans, God had moved in Alexis's heart to pursue adoption of a newborn baby. After months of praying and working with her agency, Alexis was matched with a woman who is giving birth to a baby boy in Florida on April 17th!
We as her church family and friends have resolved to eliminate the enormous financial burden of adoption so that Alexis can focus on nurturing and loving her son, and can comfortably adjust to life as a new mother. Her legal fees for representation and suitability studies are about $36,000, and her upcoming travel expenses could be another $2k.
We also see this as our opportunity to glorify God to a watching world, and to elevate adoption in our community as an inroad for the Gospel, and to model the Gospel to one another – since we were mercifully and freely adopted into God’s own family by grace, through our faith in Jesus.
