Our Story
So this whole new venture I'm on probably comes as a surprise to many, but I couldn't be more excited! I recently had a birthday in which I became another year closer to 40 (UGH!) and I really took some time thinking and reflecting on what I want from the rest of my life and how I can contribute to society in a loving and meaningful way. I've always wanted to be a mother and began researching the adoption possibilities. I met with a wonderful social worker here in Peoria and immediately decided I wanted to adopt from Haiti. I can't explain the connection I felt to Haiti, but I can say as soon as I found out I'd be eligible to adopt from that country, my heart and mind was made up and I was well on my way into the process. I SO much appreciate all the support and thoughts over the past couple months and appreciate the continued thoughts as this is a rather lengthy process, but I have never been more sure of a decision in my life and am truly excited about the future that lays in fr
